Worli is witnessing a tough contest in the ongoing election, with the incumbent Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray facing a serious challenge from Milind Deora, who recently joined Shiv Sena after leaving the Congress party. The seat, part of the South Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency, has traditionally been a stronghold of Shiv Sena, and Aaditya Thackeray has significant public support in the area. However, Milind Deora, a well-known figure in South Mumbai and a former Member of Parliament for the constituency, is posing a tough challenge. Also in the fray is Sandeep Deshpande of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, who shares family ties with the Thackeray clan.
