The BJP MLAs staged a protest near Mahatma Gandhi's statue inside the Assembly premises. The BJP legislators started demanding a discussion on alleged irregularities in the DJB. In an appalling incident, a man in Madhya Pradesh was filmed urinating on the face of a tribal boy. While there is no clarity on when the incident occurred, the video depicting the act was shared widely on social media on Tuesday, July 4, triggering widespread condemnation. The man shown in the video has reportedly been identified as Pravesh Shukla, apparently a close aide of BJP MLA Kedar Nath Shukla. A case has been registered against him under the National Security Act, SC/ST Act and sections of the Indian Penal Code. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted to the video and said that he has given orders to deliver strictest punishment to the accused. Madhya Pradesh’s Home Minister Narottam Mishra also informed that action is being taken against the accused and that orders of investigation have also been given. Madhya Pradesh police on July 05 arrested accused Pravesh Shukla into custody.
