In a chaotic race where Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi crashed out after starting on pole, Marquez took advantage to clinch top honours ahead of younger brother Alex, who rides for Gresini Racing.

The Ducati star beat his two main world title rivals, both riding Aprilias, finishing 1.068sec ahead of Marco Bezzecchi, with fellow Jorge Martin finishing third.
