In a significant stride towards the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor, National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has marked a major breakthrough with another engineering marvel. On October 05, NHSRCL successfully completed the first mountain tunnel for the corridor in just 10 months. This mountain tunnel is about 1 km from Jaroli village in Umbergaon taluka of Valsad district of Gujarat. The mountain tunnel has enhanced the progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project towards its anticipated completion.

04 December,2022 02:55 PM ISTUnion Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday visited the sites of High Speed Rail (HSR) stations at Sabarmati & Ahmedabad and reviewed the progress of Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project. Vaishnaw also visited Gandhinagar and inspected various amenities at the station. He was accompanied by General Manager (In-charge) of Western Railway Prakash Butani, Divisional Railway Manager of Ahmedabad Division, Tarun Jain as well as senior railway officials from Western Railway & National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).
