Mumbai witnessed major disruption on Friday as Manoj Jarange’s Maratha quota protest reached the city. Thousands of protesters gathered near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), leading to massive traffic jams in South Mumbai. Several buses and vehicles were stuck for hours during the morning rush. The protest also spilled over to the railways, with local trains on the Harbour and Central lines overcrowded as protesters and office-goers rushed towards CSMT. Platforms were jam-packed, causing significant inconvenience for daily commuters heading towards Nariman Point, Fort, Kalbadevi, and Crawford Market.

PM Narendra Modi attacked the Maha Vikas Aghadi and said that MVA has become slaves to appeasement. He further said, “Leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi have become slaves to appeasement. The leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi opposed the construction of Ram Temple. For the sake of votes, they used the words like 'Bhagwa aatankwad'. They disrespect Veer Savarkar. They passed a resolution in J&K for the restoration of Article 370...Maha Vikas Aghadi always keeps their party above the nation and they have problems with India's progress...They never gave the status of classical language to Marathi language...”. PM Modi in Mumbai also took a dig at the Shiv Sena (UBT) and said that there is a party in the Aghadi which has handed over its remote control to the Congress which insulted Bala Saheb.
