On May 18, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis led the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ rally in Nagpur, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to honour the valour and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces and to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal confirmed on March 18 that the situation in the city is now peaceful and under control following recent violence. Speaking about the clashes, he stated that over 50 individuals have been arrested, and efforts are underway to identify those responsible for damaging public property. During the incident, 33 police officers were injured.
