Mumbai's Nair Hospital is set to establish the city's first dedicated Disaster Management Ward to provide specialised treatment during mass casualty incidents such as building collapses, train accidents, fires and other major emergencies. The facility is expected to become operational within the next six months.

BMC has operationalised a new Accident and Emergency Medical Services Complex at Mumbai's B.Y.L. Nair Hospital. The two-floor, centrally air-conditioned facility offers 24x7 emergency care, EMS, triage, surgery and specialist services, with Phase 2 to add advanced diagnostic
