Ayodhya Railway station renamed to 'Ayodhya Dham Junction' ahead of Ram Temple

Ahead of the grand Ram Lalla pran pratishtha (consecration) ceremony on January 22 in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, the name of revamped railway station in Ayodhya has been changed to “Ayodhya Dham.” Following the announcement, Ram Janmabhoomi Temple’s Chief Priest thanked CM Yogi. PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the state-of-the art railway station on December 30. The grand railway station will comprise lifts, a tourist information centre, and medical facilities.All types of extensive preparations are being completed including refurbished platforms, new signboards, escalators and murals of Lord Ram painted on walls--these and many more would be the features.

India vs Bharat: Sonia Gandhi writes to PM Modi about special parliament session

In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi sought a discussion on a range of issues — including the violence in Manipur and Centre-state relations — during the upcoming five-day special session of Parliament. Stating that the Congress “most certainly” wants to participate in the upcoming session, Sonia listed out some “matters of public concern and importance” that she hoped would be discussed. In a press conference, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said this is the first time that no agenda has been discussed or listed in the business of the House. However, he added that the INDIA bloc is ready to attend the discussion and they will not boycott it. Meanwhile, an official dinner invite to G20 delegates from the Rashtrapati Bhawan surfaced on Tuesday, which sparked controversy. The invite had 'President of Bharat' written on it instead of the usual 'President of India'. The INDIA bloc has been opposing this renaming and have slammed the government for this step.

My name is Jackie, some call me Jocky, and some call me Jaki. People change my name but I will not change because of that. Just the name will change, we will not. Maha cabinet approves renaming of 2 key sea links after Savarkar, Vajpayee

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday announced that Versova–Bandra Sea Link will be named as Veer Savarkar Setu and Mumbai Trans Harbour Link to be renamed as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Smruti Nhava Sheva Atal Setu. The decision to rename MTHL was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Other than this, Maharashtra cabinet also decided to expand the limit of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yogana from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh. Last month, Eknath Shinde, had announced that Versova-Bandra Sea Link will be named after Savarkar. The decision was approved by the cabinet today.The upcoming Versova-Bandra Sea link will connect Andheri to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link as part of the coastal road project. The MTHL will connect Mumbai to Navi Mumbai. The construction work of the sea link is expected to be over by the end.
