Bhutan earthquake horror: More danger ahead?

A shallow earthquake of magnitude 4.2 struck Bhutan at a depth of only 10 kilometres, making it more dangerous than deeper quakes. The National Centre for Seismology warns that shallow quakes can cause stronger ground shaking and higher risks of damage and aftershocks. Bhutan, located in the seismically active Himalayan region, remains vulnerable to earthquakes, landslides, and other natural hazards.
