Citizenship Amendment Act: K Annamalai condemns CM Stalin for his remark on CAA

Modi Government implemented CAA on 11th of March which has created a nationwide stir among people. BJP Tamil Nadu President K Annamalai on March 12 attacked DMK and CM MK Stalin over his remark that he will not allow implementation of CAA in Tamil Nadu. While attacking DMK, CM Stalin Annamalai said all the persecuted minorities are happy and CM Stalin should resign for making such kind of statement.    He said, “In these three countries any religious persecuted minorities have come in so they will be granted citizenship by following a process… This amendment is not going to take a citizen from anybody, in fact, people are going to gain their citizenship. In what world Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is living? So what authority does he have to say that I am going to prevent this from happening, he cannot prevent it, how can he prevent it? It is going against the oath he has taken, better he resigns and gives a political speech…All the religious persecuted minorities are happy yesterday they celebrated sweets, are then not our people?”

SC slams Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over "Sanatana" Remarks

The Supreme Court on 4th of March slammed Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over his "eradicate Sanantan Dharma" remark. Stalin’s lawyer moved the Apex Court seeking clubbing of multiple FIRs registered against him in several states. Slamming Stalin, the Supreme Court said that the leader abused his right to “freedom of speech.” Supreme Court adjourned DMK Minister’s plea for its next hearing on March 15. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khan and Dipankar Dutta told Stalin that he is a Minister and should know the consequences of his remark. Stalin is the Minister of youth welfare and sports of Tamil Nadu. He is a well known film actor and son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK chief M K Stalin. Two unidentified persons jumped into Lok Sabha Chamber from visitors’ Gallery. The incident of Parliament security breach took place on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament Attack. However, Delhi Police detained two persons in this regard. BJP MP Rajendra Agarwal, who was presiding over the House proceedings said the two men jumped from the crowd gallery before taking out something from their shoes which led to the smoke. Incidentally, today India observes 22nd anniversary of 2001 Parliament attack as it was on this date 22 years ago that the Parliament attack took place.
