Yogi Adityanath Criticises Congress' Hypocrisy Over Electronic Voting Machines

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on April 27 slammed Congress over politicization of Electronic Voting Machines. Slamming Congress, UP CM said that the people who are rejecting EVMs today are the same people who used to loot ballots. Speaking to ANI, he said, “Whenever Congress, Samajwadi Party, or any other party associated with the INDI alliance is losing elections, they make every effort to blame the defeat on EVMs. This is not the first time; we have been hearing this continuously since 2014. We want to ask these people that the Congress government formed in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka last year, whether it was formed based on ballot paper? In 2009, the UPA government was formed at the Centre, was it made of ballot paper? In 2004, the UPA government was formed in the country, and in 2018, the Congress government was formed in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, the AAP government was formed in Delhi, was it made of ballot paper?”

UP CM Yogi Adityanath blasts Congress

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the Congress party saying that the grand old party fed biryani to terrorists when they were in power. “This is 'New India' that knows to protect its citizens and international borders... In 1952, Congress gave a wound to India by implementing Article 370 in Kashmir, PM Modi and HM Amit Shah by abrogating Article 370 ended terrorism, forever. Now, no one can shelter terrorists and naxals in India. On one side it's The Guardian's report that is saying that terrorists are being killed in Pakistan, and the world is taking terrorism as a burden and on the other side it is Congress who used to feed biryani to terrorists when they were in power. Congress starved the poor and fed biryani to terrorists, PM Modi has been giving free rations to 80 crore people for the last 4 years and will continue to give for the upcoming 5 years,” said Yogi Adityanath.

The High Court questioned the ED that what is the evidence that they had got to go behind Arvind Kejriwal. They (ED) sought time in the Court and now come knocking at his doors. We hope the Supreme Court will intervene to ensure that the democracy prevails,” said Saravanan Annadurai “This is vindictive politics ahead of Lok Sabha elections. BJP knows it is losing from every state that is why it is targeting non-BJP parties and leaders and pressuring them by using Central Agencies," said Kunal Ghosh. Citizenship Amendment Act: Hardeep Singh slams those criticizing CAA

PM Modi implemented CAA on March 11. Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri took a sharp jibe at the political leaders opposing Citizenship Amendment Act. He said, “There are persecuted minorities in some of our neighbouring countries- Buddhists, Christians, Jains, Hindus, Sikhs, among others... In 1947, the population of Hindus in Pakistan was 24% which stands at 1% today. In erstwhile East Pakistan, there was a certain Hindu population but now there are just 7%. Some of these people who came to India before 2014 are being given a right. The people who are suddenly worried that these few immigrants will take away all jobs and resources need to know that our population is 140 crores and only 1000 people have registered on the portal so far. The number of people who had applied for citizenship under the Citizenship Act of 1955 is also just 4000. What is this completely distorted picture which is being presented? This is not about religion.

India-Maldives Row: Maldives Opposition leader asks Mohammed Muizzu to apologize

India-Maldives Row: Maldives Opposition leader asks Mohammed Muizzu to apologize

Reacting to the India-Maldives row, the Maldives Jumhooree Party (JP) leader Qasim Ibrahim called on Maldivian President Mohammed Muizzu to formally apologize to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India, Voice of Maldives, a Maldivian digital news outlet, reported. “Regarding any country, especially a neighbouring one, we shouldn't speak in a way that affects the relationship. We have an obligation to our state that must be considered. President Solih did consider this obligation and issued a Presidential Decree banning the "India Out" campaign. Now, Yameen is questioning why Muizzu, who participated with him in the India Out Campaign, has not nullified the Presidential Decree,” he said. He added, “The Decree should not be nullified, as it would only result in a loss to the nation. That cannot be done. I would tell Muizzu that it shouldn't be done. Also, I call on President Muizzu to formally apologize to the Indian government and Prime Minister Modi regarding his remarks after the China trip.” The removal of Indian troops in the Maldives was the main campaign plank of Muizzu's party during the presidential elections. Currently, there are around 70 Indian troops, along with Dornier 228 maritime patrol aircraft and two HAL Dhruv helicopters, stationed. On the second day of assuming office, Muizzu officially requested the Indian government to withdraw its military personnel from the Maldives. Apart from the call for the withdrawal of Indian military personnel, a massive row erupted after a Maldivian deputy minister, along with other cabinet members and government officials, made disparaging and unsavoury references to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent Lakshadweep visit and call to development the Indian archipelago as a global retreat for beach tourism. The Maldives government, however, distanced itself from the remarks.
