    Goa's Feni is all set to go places as the state government gets ready to amend the four-decade old Excise Act to give the traditional brew a 'Heritage Spirit' tag. Goa Commissioner of Excise Menino D'Souza said the state government is slated to move an amendment to the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, which will save Feni from being tagged as country liquor and instead would be classified as 'Heritage Spirit'.

    A Syrian national, allegedly overstaying in India, was traced and detained by Goa Police from an offshore casino off Panaji late on Monday night. Inspector General of Police, Sunil Garg on Tuesday said that they had got information that a person from Syria was missing during his overstay in country and his location was said to be around Goa.
