Para-athlete Suvarna Raj, who has represented the country in global events, on February 3 accused the IndiGo airline crew of 'mistreatment', saying she requested the carrier to provide her a personal wheelchair at the aircraft door but the staff did not respond. On the IndiGo’s mistreatment, Suvarna alleged that she was mistreated by IndiGo crew members while taking a flight from New Delhi to Chennai. Suvarna had booked seat number 39D(Aisle) on the Chennai-bound flight on Friday. The Canadian government is reportedly considering India as its ‘potential threat’ ahead of its elections. Days after the stirring India-Canada row, Canada’s media outlet Global News has accessed a declassified canadian intelligence report from Canadian Security Intelligence Service. Global News claims that India and China have been named as “top threats” to Canada in CSIS’ report. Each year, cultural performances form a part of the Republic Day parade at the Kartavya path in Delhi. This year too, on the occasion of Republic Day 2024, the Republic Day parade 2024 saw a group consisting of 1500 dancers giving the message of unity in diversity. The grand performance included 30 folk dance styles uniquely prevalent in different states of the country. 120 dancers also donned masks related to various tribal and folk performing arts and 120 dancers performed dances with traditional umbrellas and other artistic objects from Gujarat, Manipur, Kerala and Maharashtra.
