Anupamaa actor, Rituraj Singh passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 59 due to cardiac arrest. His last rites took place in Mumbai on February 21. Several friends, colleagues and well-wishers from the TV and film industry were spotted at his residence as they came pay their last tribute. Nakuul Mehta, Hiten Tejwani with wife Gauri Pradhan, Arshad Warsi and many other celebrities were spotted. Rituraj Singh is known for shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kutumb, Abhay 3 and Never Kiss Your Best Friend. He was also seen in Rupali Ganguly’s superhit show, Anupamaa. Following the fourth round of meetings with the farming leaders in connection with the ongoing farmers protest 2024, the Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on February 19 that a detailed discussion was held with Bhartiya Kisan Mazdoor. He further stated that the outcome of the meeting was very positive. We had a detailed discussion on how to carry forward the work done by PM Modi in the last 10 years, he further added. Haldwani violence: A violence broke out in Banbhoolpura area of Uttarakhand’s Haldwani on February 08. As violence rocked Haldwani, DM Vandana Singh held detailed press conference on Feb 09. Nainital DM Vandana Singh clarified that demolished property is “not a religious structure”. She said, “This was not an isolated activity to target a particular property only. This drive has been going on for a long time in different areas of Haldwani. It is an empty property that has two structures. Which are not registered as religious structure or has been given any such recognition. Some people call it a Madrasa, but on papers, there is no such existence. We vacated it and notice was pasted. The area is called ‘Malik ka Bagicha’, but in papers, it is not registered like that. It has been registered as the property of the Municipal Council.” Notably, 4 persons were killed and over 100 police personnel sustained injuries in the violence. Internet services in the area have been suspended and Section 144 has been imposed in Haldwani.
