PM Modi & Top Leaders Extend Wishes for WB CM Mamata Banerjee's Swift Recovery

Just weeks before the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained a significant injury on March 14, leading to her hospitalization. Rushed to SSKM Hospital by TMC GS Abhishek Banerjee, she bore a serious forehead wound. While TMC All India Trinamool Congress briefed her well-wishers about the incident, no official statement was released. Kunal Ghosh had foreseen a mishap at her residence. Despite this, an outpouring of support was witnessed from her followers outside the hospital. Meanwhile, leaders including Delhi CM Kejriwal, TN CM MK Stalin, WB BJP Prez Sukanta Majumdar, and others expressed their hopes for her swift recovery. Following her admission, she was transferred from Woodburn Block to the Trauma Care Centre. This incident echoes prior injuries sustained before the WB Legislative Assembly Elections in 2021 and the Panchayat Polls in 2023.

"Every penny looted will be returned" PM Modi strongly reacts after IT recovers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and Smriti Irani hit out at Congress on December 08 after crores of rupees were recovered from Congress party MP Dheeraj Kumar Sahu's premises during Income Tax raids. As the raids entered the third day, Income Tax sleuths recovered more than Rs 200 crore cash from several locations in Odisha and Jharkhand. The residences of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu were also searched. Reacting to the Incident PM Modi shared a post on his X handle stating "Countrymen should look at these piles of currency notes and then hear the addresses of its (Congress) leaders on honesty. Every penny looted from people will have to be returned. This is Modi's guarantee.”

Himachal Rains: '16 bodies recovered so far', NDRF personnel gives information

The rescue operations in rain-battered Shimla entered day six on August 19. Joint rescue operations are underway by NDRF, SDRF, Indian Army and local people. So far, 16 bodies, among 20 people have been recovered from the Summer Hill area of Shimla. Over 70 people have lost their lives in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh due to the deadly monsoon. Moreover, the state has suffered a loss of more than 7,500 crores, as per the govt reports.

In a massive crackdown by the Police against narco-terrorism in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir, a huge consignment has been busted by the police. The crackdown has happened at various locations in recent days from Uri along the Line of Control (LoC) to other parts of Baramulla district over the last few days. Pakistan-based handlers, as part of a conspiracy, are using smugglers to push narcotics into Jammu and Kashmir to get the younger generation addicted to drugs. Notably, 284 drug peddlers have been arrested and 34 notorious drug peddlers have been booked under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, (PIT-NDPS Act). The dedicated teams deployed by the Baramulla Police consist of experienced officers and undercover agents who will discreetly gather intelligence on the drug mafia's operations, networks, and supply chains.

Four boys washed away at Juhu Koliwada; two bodies found, search operations on

Four minor boys aged between 12 and 16 were feared drowned after five children who were sitting on the edge of the jetty at Juhu Koliwada, near Juhu beach, were washed away in a high tide on Monday evening. According to civic body officials, the minors hailed from Vakola and were on a visit to the beach. Officials also said that one boy was rescued by local fishermen and other residents. The rescued boy is said in a stable condition and was taken to the police station for further investigations. Authorities in Mumbai on Tuesday said that the rescuers have found the bodies of two of the four boys. Coastguard chopper was seen while the rescue operation for remaining two boys is still ongoing.
