Days after French President visited India, Emmanuel Macron on February 04 hailed India. Taking to ‘X’, he posted a video highlighting glimpses from his recent visit to India during the Republic Day celebrations. Acknowledging India’s prowess, Macron said that India is going to be on front row in world's transformation. French President further highlighted growing bilateral relationship between India and France. In the video, he emphasized that France expects 30,000 students in France coming from India by 2030. The French Prez visited India on invitation of PM Modi and was the Chief Guest at 75th Republic Day Parade on Jan 26. During his visit, India and France adopted a roadmap for the defence-industrial partnership. The 2 leaders also reaffirmed their vision that the India-France Strategic Partnership can help build prosperity and resilience in their economies advance their countries' security, and create a more sustainable and healthier future for the planet.

On the occasion of 75th Republic Day, the Srinagar District Administration on January 26 decorated the rooftops of 120 ‘Shikara’ boats on Dal Lake, in Tricolour. The ‘Shikara’ boats together showcased three colours of the National Flag, i.e. Saffron, white and green with an Ashoka Chakra in the middle.

As India celebrates its 75th Republic Day today, a grand display of military prowess, culture and women empowerment was seen in India’s Republic Day parade 2024. The Indian Air Force, in a mighty display of power and skill, executed gravity-defying maneuvers by Indian Air Force aircrafts in the Republic Day 2024 Flypast. The viewers were left speechless as IAF’s famed aircrafts like Apache, Sukhoi and Rafale pulled off dangerous stunts in the sky. In the ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the National Flag at Kartavya Path. The ceremony was followed by the National anthem and a 21 Gun salute. President Droupadi Murmu was given the national salute by the President's Bodyguard at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Neurologist Dr Chandrashekhar Meshram has been awarded the Padma Shri Award in the field of Medicine. Each year, cultural performances form a part of the Republic Day parade at the Kartavya path in Delhi. This year too, on the occasion of Republic Day 2024, the Republic Day parade 2024 saw a group consisting of 1500 dancers giving the message of unity in diversity. The grand performance included 30 folk dance styles uniquely prevalent in different states of the country. 120 dancers also donned masks related to various tribal and folk performing arts and 120 dancers performed dances with traditional umbrellas and other artistic objects from Gujarat, Manipur, Kerala and Maharashtra. Earlier in the ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the National Flag at Kartavya Path.
