The pre-wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and fiancee Radhika Merchant started with Anna Seva on 28th February in Gujarat's Jamnagar. Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani and other members of the Ambani family, along with Radhika Merchant, served traditional Gujarati food to the villagers. Radhika's maternal grandmother and parents - Viren and Shaila Merchant also took part in the 'anna seva'. The food is to be served to about 51,000 local residents and the practice will continue for the next few days. The Ambani family organised anna seva to seek blessings of the local communities for the pre-wedding celebrations of the couple. Watch video

Crime series 'Poacher' is all set to stream on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video from February 23. Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta, it stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. In a media interaction, Richie Mehta said, “It is literally about wildlife crime fighters in India. People who are basically motivated to do everything they can in their power and more to save what they believe as a planet.” While being asked about his performance in the film, DEV D actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya replied, “Acting also should be like a living being. Aziz Ahmad Khan, who served as HC to India from 2003 to 2006, gave an account of Ratan Tata’s visit to Pakistan. Notably, Aziz Khan made these remarks in a discussion with Tariq Zameer, who served as Pak’s Ambassador to Sweden, and Finland. In an Ambassadors’ lounge discussion, the former Envoy said that Tata Owner had visited Pakistan with his group of directors for Investment. “There was a time when there was so much interest in India on investment in Pakistan. I recall that Tata Group came in a big way to Pakistan. Even Ratan Tata paid a visit here with his 5 directors. He visited very quietly and neither Indian nor Pakistani media were aware of it. He met the senior officials here regarding investments and at that time I put lots of effort so that Tata Group was flush with money and they were very keen to invest in Pakistan,” said Aziz Ahmad Khan, Former Pakistan HC to India. Aziz Ahmad Khan also claimed that Ratan Tata visited Pakistan “very quietly” and no media houses in India, or Pakistan were aware of it. However, Ratan Tata didn’t succeed in his plan as there was complete silence on investment from Pakistan. “There were lots of things they wanted to do and I was very excited about it also. I was very happy as they would revamp the hotel businesses. Later, they return to India. There was a silence on investment from our side. Tata took their money and invested in Land Rover and other things. They wanted to invest in Pakistan and that was their preference. Such things should be given importance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Nov 25 flew a sortie on Tejas Aircraft in Bengaluru. PM Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared his experience. PM termed it an “incredibly enriching” experience and wrote that it left a renewed “sense of pride” with him. The first version of the Light Combat Aircraft was inducted into the Indian Air Force in 2016. Currently, two squadrons of IAF, 45 Squadron and 18 Squadron, are fully operational with LCA Tejas. Under BJP-led NDA Govt, an order worth Rs 36,468 Cr for the delivery of 83 LCA Mk 1A aircraft has been placed with HAL. The delivery of these aircraft is scheduled to begin by February 2024. Also, over Rs 9000 Cr have been sanctioned for the development of LCA Mk 2, an updated and more lethal version of LCA Tejas. Transfer of Technology for manufacturing of the GE engine in India was negotiated with GE during PM’s visit to the US in June 2023

Days after a deluge caused by a glacial lake outburst gripped the region, search efforts for the 16 missing Army soldiers and evacuation of thousands of people stranded in various parts of the state are underway.
