DMK leader and minister for fisheries and animal husbandry Anitha R Radhakrishnan rolled out an advertisement in the Tamil newspapers on Wednesday. The ad had an image of a rocket with a Chinese flag on its nose cone, instead of the image of an IRSO rocket. The ad was intended to celebrate New space sport in Kulasekarapattinam. BJP has accused DMK of disrespecting Indian's sovereignty. Prime Minister Modi who is on a two day visit to Tamil Nadu said that the ad insulted Indian scientists and is a waste of public money. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai trained guns at DMK.

On the first day of New Year 2024, ISRO is going to launch another space mission PSLV-C58 / XPoSat. XPoSat is the first scientific satellite from ISRO to carry out research in space-based polarisation measurements of X-ray emission from celestial source. This will be India’s first dedicated mission to study emissions from black holes, neutron stars. The launch will be carried out from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. 2023 has been a successful year for ISRO as many successful missions have been carried out. Chandrayaan-3 was the most iconic as India became the first country to reach the south pole of the Moon. India’s solar mission Aditya-L1 is also nearing success as the spacecraft is inching closer to L1 point.

Aliyev said in a press conference that “India and France are adding fuel to the war by providing dangerous weapons to Armenia.’ Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev, has also called India and France instigators of war. On Nov 20, Hezbollah from Lebanon launched 25 rockets, and 3 suicide drones as a result of which plumes of smoke were seen rising from northern Israel. The violence is a spillover from the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza strip. Hezbollah forces and Israel continue to trade rocket and missile fire in areas near the border. Several rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome, while others landed in open areas. The three explosive-laden drones hit an IDF post on the border, reported Times of Israel. As per Israel, the opponent cell had attempted to launch anti-tank missiles from the Marwahin area in Lebanon.

Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict, at least 15 soldiers were killed in fighting inside the Gaza Strip on Nov 01. The troops who were there to eliminate the Hamas terror group laid their lives during the ground invasion. Israeli forces continued to attack targets by land and air overnight killing dozens of members of the terror group. Among 15 soldiers, an Indian-origin soldier, Staff SGT. Halel Solomon was also killed in Hamas attack. 20-year-old Halel Solomon, a resident of Israel’s Dimona, was from Givati Infantry Brigade’s Tzabar Battalion. The incident took place when a Namer armored personnel carrier they were in was hit by an anti-tank guided missile. The casualty toll underlined the threats soldiers are facing after weeks of punishing air campaign. Israeli tanks have been active inside Gaza for at least four days following Hamas’ attack on October 7. At least 8,525 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since Oct 7, said Gaza health authorities.

Since October 07, Israeli jets are targeting various hideouts of Hamas terrorists in Gaza Strip. Now, Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out an airstrike in order to neutralize Ibrahim Al-Saher. He was the head of the Anti-Tank Missiles Array of Hamas' Northern Brigade. IDF informed that in 2021, Ibrahim Al-Saher fired an anti-tank missile which killed SSGT Omer Tabib. Recently, Muhammad Katamash, the Deputy head of Hamas, was also neutralised by IDF.

Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, an Indian Air Force flight C-17 Globemaster carrying relief materials departed for El-Arish airport in Egypt on October 22. The flight carried 6.5 tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material for the people of Palestine. It included essential life-saving drugs, tents, sleeping bags, sanitary utilities among other necessary items. The medical supplies including life-saving drugs, surgical items aimed for handling emergency medical conditions. The flight carrying the relief supplies from the Hindon airbase will land at El-Arish airport in Egypt. India has been one of the first countries to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine. The move comes amid the escalating recent war between Israel and Hamas. According to Reuters, over 4,300 Gazans and at least 1,400 Israelis have been killed.

Israeli aircraft struck a compound beneath Al-Ansar Mosque in Jenin in West Bank early on October 22. The IDF has claimed that the compound was used by “Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks”. The Palestinian medics told Reuters that at least one person was killed in this aerial strike by Israel. A resident of the refugee camp said that most of the people were asleep when the attack happened. Israel said the compound beneath Al-Ansar Mosque, in Jenin refugee camp, belonged to operatives from Hamas. IDF shared pictures of the mosque and the weapons recovered from there. IDF also claimed that the mosque was used for planning since July 2023. It has been fifteen days since the outbreak of the recent Israel-Hamas conflict. According to Reuters, over 4,300 Gazans and at least 1,400 Israelis have been killed.
