BJP leaders & workers protest outside AAP headquarters, want Kejriwal to quit

Delhi BJP leaders and workers staged a protest near the AAP headquarters on April 10. BJP is demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the alleged excise policy scam. Recently, Kejriwal's plea against his arrest and remand in the excise policy of his government was rejected by the Delhi High Court on April 09. Meanwhile, CM Kejriwal has approached the Supreme Court challenging the high court order. Dramatic images surfaced from the Aam Aadmi Party's headquarters in New Delhi. Mumbai’s Mini-Goa Vasai gets a new Vasai-Bhayandar Ro-Ro ferry service

There has been a significant upgrade in Mumbai’s infrastructure in the recent times and a brand new RO-RO ferry survive is the latest addition. A new Vasai-Bhayandar Ro-Ro ferry service will be running on a regular basis from 21st February between Vasai and Bhayandar that is going to cut down the commute time between the two destinations to 15 minutes. This is the second RoRo service in the MMR. The first one operates on the Ferry Wharf and Mandwa route. The newly-inaugurated service will ply eight times a day. The vessel can carry 100 passengers and 33 four-wheelers in one go. Here’s everything you need to know about the service.

Sandeshkhali violence: Police and BJP supporters clash in West Bengal’s Basirhat

The political storm over the events at Bengal’s Sandeshkhali sparked violence in another part of the state on February 13. Clashes broke out between police personnel and BJP supporters on February 13 after efforts were made to defy prohibitory orders clamped in the vicinity of the SP’s office in West Bengal's Basirhat prior to the agitation of the party over allegations of sexual harassment of women in Sandeshkhali block leading to Sandeshkhali violence. BJP workers, led by the party’s state chief, Sukanta Majumdar, clashed with the police in Basirhat after being stopped from holding a protest. Police personnel were seen charging party workers as the latter broke through barricades and entered the village. Scenes of chaos filled the village as the police resorted to lathi-charge to drive away the protesters. After which, several workers and Sukanta Majumdar were detained. Later, West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar, along with the other workers of the party, were released. Sukanta Majumdar said, “The police detained us and party workers... The police misbehaved even with the women workers of the party... We will take the police to the court... They treated us like thieves or criminals... The police do not obey the Constitution of the CrPC, they only listen to Mamata Banerjee.”
