The widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs - Laurene Powell Jobs too marked her attendance at the Maha Kumbh. She has embarked on a spiritual journey, embracing Sanatan Dharma and taking the name Kamala, according to spiritual leader Swami Kailashanand Giri. During her recent visit to the Maha Kumbh 2025, Powell Jobs spent four days in a humble Shivir, renouncing her luxurious lifestyle and adopting a simple, vegetarian diet. He said, "We initiated her on 14th January, on Makar Sankranti, at 10:10 pm. One year ago, on 18th February, she was given the name Kamala and assigned a 'Gotra'... She had reached the pinnacle of materialism. Now she wants to join Sanatan Dharma and wants to learn her tradition by joining her Guru. She is composed, simple, and is not arrogant. She stayed in the 'Shivir' for 4 days like a common devotee... About 50 personal servants and staff came with her in two big planes... She is a pure vegetarian, she does not eat garlic or onion..."

Arvind Kejriwal launches Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana

Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, announced the launch of the ‘Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana’ on 30th December. This new scheme will provide a monthly honorarium of approximately Rs 18,000 to the priests (Pujaris) of temples and the granthis of Gurudwaras. The announcement comes ahead of Delhi's upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled for early 2025. The scheme's registration will begin the following day, and Kejriwal will personally visit Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place to kick off the registration process. This announcement follows a controversy over AAP's ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’, which promises Rs 2,100 per month to eligible women.

SC slams Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over "Sanatana" Remarks

The Supreme Court on 4th of March slammed Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over his "eradicate Sanantan Dharma" remark. Stalin’s lawyer moved the Apex Court seeking clubbing of multiple FIRs registered against him in several states. Slamming Stalin, the Supreme Court said that the leader abused his right to “freedom of speech.” Supreme Court adjourned DMK Minister’s plea for its next hearing on March 15. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khan and Dipankar Dutta told Stalin that he is a Minister and should know the consequences of his remark. Stalin is the Minister of youth welfare and sports of Tamil Nadu. He is a well known film actor and son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK chief M K Stalin.
