In response, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized that while a ceasefire understanding exists, India will remain resolute in its fight against terrorism. Reacting sharply to the developments, Shiv Sena (UBT) denounced the cessation of hostilities, calling it “an attack on our sovereignty” and questioning the wisdom of trusting Pakistan amid continued provocations.

06 May,2025 04:16 PM ISTShiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, on March 20, dismissed the allegations made by Disha Salian’s father, who has called for a fresh investigation into her death and the interrogation of UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray. Raut strongly criticized those attempting to politicize the case, accusing them of trying to damage the reputation of Aaditya Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT). Raut stated that after reviewing the police investigation, he believes Disha Salian's death was an accident, not a murder. He also pointed out that Salian's father had filed a petition five years after the incident. "The politics behind this petition is clear. These people couldn't succeed with the Aurangzeb issue, and now they are trying to use the Disha Salian case to divert attention. This is dirty politics, and it is damaging the state's reputation," Raut said. He emphasized that these attempts were aimed at tarnishing the name of a young leader who has been working for the state.
