Sanjay Singh was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail on bail on April 3. The ED on April 2, informed the SC that the agency has no objection to Sanjay Singh getting bail. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the release of Sanjay Singh . Bail was granted during pendency of trial in a money laundering case relating to excise policy irregularities. AAP workers played drums and celebrated the release of Sanjay Singh. While addressing a press conference after his release from jail he attacked BJP and said when BJP speaks about corruption it seems like Osama Bin Laden is speaking about non-violence. Amid lusty sloganeering from party supporters, ED on Oct 04 arrested AAP’s Sanjay Singh from his Delhi residence. The Rajya Sabha MP was arrested in connection with with the now-scrapped liquor policy case. His was the second high-profile arrest in the case after former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. The arrest came hours after the ED conducted raids at the residence of the AAP Rajya Sabha MP in connection with the case. As word of his arrest got out, various AAP workers gathered outside Singh's residence, condemning his arrest. Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh’s family alleged that ED officials couldn’t find anything and misbehaved with them. Before his arrest the AAP MP said, “Cowardly and dictatorial Prime Minister wants to win elections this way.”The AAP leader alleged further that the officers misused their position to tarnish his public image and demanded prosecution against them. He added that he had already sent a legal notice to the officers concerned to issue an open and public apology. As per to ED, name of the AAP leader appears four times in the ED chargesheet, one of which was typed inadvertently. At one place Sanjay Singh's name was mentioned instead of Rahul Singh, who was the then excise commissioner.

A Directorate Enforcement (ED) raid is underway at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in connection with excise policy case. The ED raid has been condemned by various parties of opposition INDIA group alliance, while the BJP leaders are attacking AAP and Arwind Kejriwal for being corrupt. Reacting to the raid, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "Nothing will be found at his residence and this is the govt's strategy before 2024 general elections. RJD MP Manoj Jha also resonated Kejriwal's words. Meanwhile, BJP workers are carrying protests outside AAP office demanding Kejriwal's resignation. BJP Leader Gaurav Bhatia and Manoj Tiwari said Kejriwal is the kingpin of the liquor scam.

In his first reaction after his suspension, AAP leader Raghav Chadha introduced himself as "suspended Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha" and clarified that he had not forged any signatures.Mr Chadha was suspended from the Rajya Sabha for "breach of privilege" after four MPs alleged that he had violated rules by naming them in a House panel without their consent.

The last day of the Monsoon Session came as a big blow for the Aam Aadmi Party. Party MP Raghav Chadha was today suspended from the Rajya Sabha for his “inappropriate conduct”. Leader of the House Piyush Goyal has moved the motion for the suspension of the AAP leader. Raghav Chadha will remain suspended from the service of the Council, till the Council has the benefit of the report by the Committee of Privileges. Moreover, AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s suspension will also continue beyond the current session. He will remain suspended till the Council has the benefit of recommendation by the Committee of Privileges.
