Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam lashes out at Congress leadership

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam was expelled from the party on April 04. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Sanjay Nirupam lashed out at Congress leadership and said, “I made an announcement yesterday and sent my resignation to Mallikarjun Kharge at around 10:40. I think right after they made this decision (to expel me from the party)...Congress party is a completely scattered party and the leaders of the party have also said that its ideology is directionless."Further, he said, "Earlier there used to be one power centre in the Congress party... but now there are five power centres in the Congress party and all five have their own lobbies which keep clashing with each other...In these five centres, first is Sonia Gandhi, second is Rahul Gandhi, third is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, fourth is Mallikarjun Kharge and last is Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal ji... all of them are doing politics in their own way..."

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Details of Congress-Aam Aadmi Party seat sharing

Congress and Aam Aadmi Party held a joint press conference in New Delhi on February 24. Both parties announced their seat-sharing plan for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. They shared the seat-sharing plan for Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Chandigarh and Haryana. However, the two parties failed to conclude Punjab. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Sandeep Pathak informed that both the parties decided to contest elections separately for Punjab.

From seat sharing to boycotting TV anchors, INDIA alliance takes major decisions

INDIA Alliance Coordination Committee meeting ended at NCP Leader Sharad Pawar’s residence in New Delhi on September 13. The 14-member panel discussed a variety of issues including the seat sharing and campaign strategy for the 2024 general elections. The alliance decided that it will soon kick start joint public meetings across India, beginning from Bhopal in the first week of October. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal while addressing a conference condemned the BJP for vendetta politics against TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee as he was absent from the meeting due to the ED summon. AAP leader Raghav Chadha also shared information and strategies of the INDIA alliance going forward. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti added that issues of rising prices will also be taken up in the first joint rally. Meanwhile, the BJP had rebuked the Opposition bloc’s meeting, calling it a get-together of an anti-Hindu coordination committee.
