The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 2 suspects involved in the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. The victims who are identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were arrested from Bhuj in Gujarat where they had escaped after the incident. Gupta and Pal belong to Champaran in Bihar. They are now being brought to Mumbai for further questioning about their motive and if they were tasked by someone to carry the shooting..For the unversed, on 14th of April, a shooting happened in the early hours of Sunday after motorcycle-borne shooters opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments. Police said the suspects had their faces covered and the incident was a planned one. A total of four rounds were fired by the accused and a live cartridge was recovered from the spot. Khan was present in his home at the time of the incident, the police said, adding that the bullets were fired into the air. "The shooters have been captured in CCTV footage at the Bandra railway station" said the Police. In the CCTV footage, the shooters were seen firing towards the actor's house. The accused were carrying bags and wore helmets. Sunday's incident is reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously threatened Salman Khan.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) arrived at the survey of the disputed Bhojshala Temple-Kamal Maula Mosque Complex in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar on March 22. The Bengaluru blast at the Rameshwaram cafe happened on March 1st injuring multiple people. Days after blast, on March 9th, the Rameshwaram Cafe in Karnataka's Bengaluru reopened for customers. The cafe was made open to public amid tight security arrangements as customers stood in a long queue outside outlet. Co-Founder Raghvendra Rao said that the cafe authority is working on strengthening the security team. NIA on March 06 announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for information about bomber in connection with the blast. S. Jaishankar attended the Munich Security Conference from 16-18 February in Germany. During his visit, the external affairs minister defended India's long term standing ties with Russia. In an interview with a leading German economic daily, Handelsbatt EAM highlighted. He said that Russia has never violated our interests. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, while speaking at the Munich Security Conference on February 17, affirmed India’s strong ties with Western countries in Munich. He said, “I think, it's important today to make a distinction, between being non-West and anti-West, I would not only characterise India as a country, which is non-West but which has an extremely strong relation with the Western countries, getting better by the days.” In his speech, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday reaffirmed India's stand and commitment to buy Russian oil despite respective sanctions on Moscow amid the military conflict with Ukraine, saying it should not be a problem for others.

Security has been stepped up in Banbhoolpura area of Uttarakhand’s Haldwani after violence broke out. An anti-encroachment drive was carried out on February 08 after which violence broke out in the area. So far, 4 persons killed, and over 100 policemen sustained injuries in the Haldwani violence. Four companies of paramilitary forces were rushed to the city to maintain the law and order situation. District Magistrate has imposed a curfew in Banbhoolpura and issued shoot-at-sight orders. Many vehicles including cars, motorcycles were set ablaze during the violence on February 08. Internet Services have been suspended and educational institutions have been closed in the district. Uttarakhand Police has also requested the Home Ministry to send additional paramilitary forces. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged locals to maintain the law and order in district.

After a clash was reported from Mumbai's Mira Road, bulldozers razed illegal structures and encroachments in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road on Tuesday. "Illegal structures and encroachments were razed by bulldozers in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road where Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha celebrations were stone pelted. After instructions from the Maharashtra government, action is being taken by the Municipal Corporation with the help of the police," the Maharashtra government said. Meanwhile, three persons were arrested in Mumbai and an FIR was filed against unknown individuals after at least four cases of outraging religious sentiments were filed in the city following the Mira Road Violence.

The ram temple in Ayodhya opened its doors for the public today and a massive crowd gathered at the temple. People broke through the security at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya to have darshan of Ram Lalla. Some devotees got injured in the incident and were taken to hospital. Police and administration are on the alert to ensure comfortable continuous darshan for the devotees. Around 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh devotees have taken the darshan of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Ram Mandir today. A similar number of devotees are awaiting darshan, and the local administration is making all the arrangements to provide continuous darshan to the devotees. The situation is under control now.
