A two-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a man, who then left her near the tracks of Old Delhi Railway Station. The accused is a 24-year-old drug addict. The incident occurred on 17th November in Delhi’s Kotwali area. The girl was sleeping with her mother on a footpath. Around 2.30 am the woman realized that her daughter was missing. In a shocking incident, six students of a gurukul located in Ladhot village of Haryana’s Rohtak have alleged that they had been sodomised by their senior students and some staffers. The matter came into light when the parents of some students visited the Gurukul to meet their children on Raksha Bandhan festival. The students told their parents that they are being sodomised for a year and were beaten up and threatened with dire consequences if they disclosed the matter. After hearing the horrific tales narrated by their children, parents lodged a complaint at Sadar police station. A case has been lodged and police are investigating the matter.
A woman on Monday was stripped and thrashed by a mob in Bihar’s Bihiya town, on the suspicion of being involved in murder of a youth. The woman is under police custody at present and undergoing medical tests. However, she denied the allegations against her. The youth, identified as Vimlesh Sav, was murdered and his body was recovered from the railway tracks on Monday morning. There has been a surge in criminal incidents in Bihar’s Bhojpur district, the murder added fuel to fire for the already angry villagers. The villagers, as a show of anger, burnt down shops and vehicles including police vehicles. In the view of the incident, eight police officials have been suspended, including the Station House Officer (SHO), Bihiya, and station in-charge Government Railway Police. The investigation was led by Awkash Kumar, the Superintendent of Police, Bhojpur. An FIR has also been registered in the case.
The Crime Branch officers arrested Gopal Rangayya Chindam, a 60-year-old jogta (person who begs in the name of God) who was accused for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy on the pretext of taking rice from him. The teenager boy’s mother had gone out for work and he was alone at home. Gopal took advantage of the situation and abused the boy.
