Karnataka Assembly: Pakistan Zindabad slogans heard at Vishan Soudha

BJP claimed that Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised by Congress supporters after Congress Rajya Sabha poll victory. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has strongly condemned the alleged Pro-Pakistan slogans raised by the supporters of Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain in Vidhan Soudha after he was elected as the Rajya Sabha member. The Karnataka BJP unit has filed an FIR at the Vidhan Soudha Police Station in this regard. Pralhad Joshi took a sharp jibe at the Congress Party after the serious allegations. On the other hand, Naseer Hussain said that he did not hear any “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan in the Assembly.

Ahead of the Bihar floor test, the political drama has heightened as leaders and supporters of RJD and JDU are ensuing in a war of words. Former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav arrived at the Bihar Assembly in Patna on February 12. Amid huddles and shifting of MLAs to secure locations in the state or beyond ahead of the crucial trust vote, both the JDU-NDA alliance and the RJD party claimed to have the majority. Janata Dal (United) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad on February 12 said that the NDA alliance will get the majority and the government will complete its tenure. RJD supporters gathered outside former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s residence and raised anti-Nitish slogans to extend their support to Tejashwi Yadav. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on the floor test in Bihar said, that when Palti Kumar (Nitish Kumar) is ruling and no one knows which way he will turn now.

Pro-Khalistan slogans raised inside Golden Temple

The 39th anniversary of Operation Blue Star was observed at the Golden Temple, Amritsar on June 6. Several people were seen wearing black turbans to mark the anniversary. Security across Amritsar was tightened in view of the anniversary of Operation Blue Star. Notably, Operation Blue Star was carried out by the Indian Army in June 1984. Its aim was to capture Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and his supporters hiding in the Golden Temple. On the operation’s 39th anniversary, police forces in civil clothes were deployed inside the Sikh shrine’s premises. Pro-Khalistan slogans were openly raised by people inside the Gurudwara’s premises. People were also carrying Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s posters. DCP (Law & Order) Amritsar said that the deployment was made to avoid any untoward situation. Guru Granth Sahib damaged during Operation Blue Star was taken out for public display.
