Madhavi Latha takes a jibe at Owaisi, says he's friends with people from ISIS

 BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad, Madhavi Latha appeared on Rajat Sharma's Aap Ki Adalat on 6th of April. During the interview, she spoke on various issues related to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. Madhavi took a sharp jibe at the sitting MP and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi. She said that she has been provided with Y+ Security to fight for the truth. “Asaduddin Owaisi has friendships with the kings' group...He keeps quiet when atrocities are inflicted on women,” Latha said. Further, she said, “Who is giving him (Asaduddin Owaisi) death threats?... Look at the level of his friendships. He is friends with people from ISIS, the kings' group...He says that he has a stronghold here and then says that he is receiving death threats.”

Bengaluru Hanuman Chalisa row: Tejasvi Surya requests protestors to go back

On March 17, a mob attacked a shopkeeper over allegedly playing Hanuman Chalisa during ‘azaan’. A Hindu organisation held a protest in Bengaluru on March 19 over the Hanuman Chalisa row. Meanwhile, a clash erupted between Hindu organisation and Police during the protest. BJP Yuva Morcha National President Tejasvi Surya also joined the protest on March 19. Later, BJP MP Surya urged protestors to quit the demonstration after a clash with Bengaluru Police after he was detained. For the unversed,a Bengaluru shopkeeper was  allegedly beaten for playing loud music at the time of Azaan (Islamic call to prayer). The shopkeeper claims he was playing Hanuman Chalisa at this shop in central Bengaluru when the assault took place.

Himachal Pradesh Political Crisis: 6 MLAs disqualified by HP speaker

Ther's a lot of political crisis going on in Hiamchal Pradesh right now. Six Congress MLAs who cross voted in favour of the Bhartiya Janta Party during the Rajya Sabha election, have been disqualified by Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. The detained MLA's include Rajinder Rana, Sudhir Sharma, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Devinder Kumar Bhutoo, Ravi Thakur, and Chetanya Sharma. With the six rebel MLAs disqualified the strength of the house comes down from 68 to 62 and the halfway mark is 32. With the loss of 6 MLAs the Congress now has 34 MLAs and the BJP with independents has 28. The fortunes of the Congress will now rest on its ability to keep the rest of its flock together.

Days after Canada faced humiliation over tribute to Nazi veteran in Parliament, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a blistering attack. Prez Putin said he is “disgusted” over honouring of Nazi veteran in the Canadian Parliament by the Speaker Anthony Rota. In a major gaffe, Nazi veteran was invited to the House during Ukrainian President Zelenskyy’s visit last month. Terming the tribute to Nazi veteran disgusting, Putin questioned the Canadian Parliament Speaker, who resigned after the blunder. Russian President also lambasted the former Canadian Speaker over the Nazi gaffe in Parliament. Vladimir Putin also slammed Ukrainian Prez Volodymyr Zelenskyy over the embarrassing incident. While Puttin came down heavily on Canadian Parliament’s gaffe and Zelenskyy, he praised PM Modi at the discussion forum.

Justin Trudeau apologises after Nazi honoured in Canadian Parliament

The Speaker of Canada's House of Commons lower chamber resigned after he publicly praised a former Nazi soldier in Parliament. Ex-soldier Yaroslav Hunka had served in one of Adolf Hitler's Waffen SS units during World War II. Earlier, Justin Trudeau refused to take the blame for honouring Ex Nazi soldier Yaroslav Hunka in Parliament. Now, Canadian PM Trudeau on Sept 27 apologised days after Speaker of Canada's House of Commons lower chamber resigned. Speaker Anthony Rota publicly acknowledged the veteran in the House on September 22 and called him a hero. Anthony Rota told legislators he had made a mistake by inviting ex-soldier Yaroslav Hunka, 98, to attend a session. He praised a Nazi veteran during a session where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was also present. Meanwhile, The Kremlin on Sept 25 called it "outrageous" that the speaker of Canada's House of Commons had praised Nazi soldier.

Lok Sabha proceedings on Tuesday began in the new Parliament building, located adjacent to the old one, starting a new chapter in the parliamentary history of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who walked down from the old building along with Union Ministers including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and other leaders, was present on the occasion. Initiating the first day of the proceedings, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla urged on members to set a new standard of parliamentary debate by raising people's issues, as he extended greetings of Ganesh Chaturthi, and called the move to the new parliament house a historic event.
