German Singer's Krishna Bhajan "Achyutam Keshawam" leaves PM Modi spellbound

PM Modi on 27th February, met German singer Cassandra Mae Spittsman and her mother in Tamil Nadu's Palladam. The German singer is known for singing songs, especially devotional ones in several Indian languages. While meeting PM Modi on Tuesday, she sang Achyutam Keshavam and a Tamil song as well. Previously, in one of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episodes, PM Modi had appreciated the singer’s passion for Indian music and culture. He was also seen praising her performance in the viral clip. This is Cassandra's first India visit. She sang two songs for PM Modi's show. Cassandra Mae Spittmann sings in many otheer languages like Kannada, Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Assamese and Bengali.

Interestingly, the growing ‘Digital India’ influence has left Pakistani foreign policy expert awestruck. Uzair Younus, a noted Pakistani policy expert, in a podcast, shared his experience of his recent visit to India. In the podcast channel, ‘Pakistan Experience’, Younus said that he was surprised by looking at the digital footprint in India. The Pakistani expert further added that his India visit felt like “visiting a future state for him”. Uzair Younus is the director of Pakistan Initiative at the Atlantic Council's South Asia Center. Uzair Younus was impressed by a betel shop owner who was offering QR code scanner to his customers. The Pak analyst further lambasted Pakistan for choosing politics over development. Pakistanis are being fed “lies of hate against India for the sake of politics,” Younus opined. Younus felt disappointed by Shehbaz-led Govt as people in cash-strapped country struggle for basics. Relief is likely after August 12, it said. On Tuesday, IMD forecast isolated very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand Today. The monsoon has remained active over the country for the past week.
