AAP cadres staged a ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign near Laxmi Nagar in Delhi on April 27. The campaign was held against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Notably, Delhi CM was arrested on March 21 by the ED in connection with a money laundering case in the alleged Delhi Excise policy scam. “CM Arvind Kejriwal who worked to provide the best school, and free- electricity to Delhiites has been trapped in a frivolous case by BJP...From today onwards Sunita Kejriwal's roadshow will begin; she is going to seek support and blessings from the Delhi people to fight against this government...,” said Kuldeep Kumar.

A woman died and 17 others were injured after the stage collapsed during Jagran ceremony at Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi on Jan 27. According to Delhi Police, no permission was granted to hold the event, however, sufficient staff was deployed to maintain law and order. As per the temple’s priest, renowned singers like B Praak, Kanhaiya Mittal were present. There was a huge crowd in a tightly-packed venue. The kalkaji mandir tragedy happened when scores of devotees climbed the main stage to catch a glimpse of Punjabi musician B Praak. All the injured were shifted to the city’s AIIMS Trauma Centre, Safdarjung Hospital and MAX Hospital.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was addressing the Israel’s Parliament on December 25. During his address, The PM said, “Israel would not succeed in freeing hostages without military pressure”. A deal brokered in late November by the US, Qatar, and Egypt saw the release of more than 100 hostages. Around 240 hostages were taken captive to Gaza during an attack by Hamas militants on Oct 7. Three Israeli hostages were killed mistakenly in Gaza by Israeli forces earlier this month. On October 7, Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel from Gaza. Approximately 1,140 people lost their lives in the assault, with the majority being civilians in the Israel-Hamas War.

Israel-Hamas Conflict: IDF resumed combat operations against Hamas after accusing latter of violating a temporary truce. Soon after Hamas fired missiles toward Israeli territory, IDF ‘restarted’ combat operations against militant group. In the hour before the truce was set to end, Hamas-affiliated media also reported sounds of explosions and gunfire in Gaza. The seven-day pause began on November 24 and was extended twice, allowing for the exchange of dozens of hostages.
