Amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, the killing spree of Israeli forces continued as they neutralised another terrorist of the Hamas group. Since October 07, Israeli jets are targeting various hideouts of Hamas terrorists in Gaza Strip. Now, Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out an airstrike in order to neutralize Ibrahim Al-Saher. He was the head of the Anti-Tank Missiles Array of Hamas' Northern Brigade. IDF informed that in 2021, Ibrahim Al-Saher fired an anti-tank missile which killed SSGT Omer Tabib. Recently, Muhammad Katamash, the Deputy head of Hamas, was also neutralised by IDF.

Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, an Indian Air Force flight C-17 Globemaster carrying relief materials departed for El-Arish airport in Egypt on October 22. The flight carried 6.5 tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material for the people of Palestine. It included essential life-saving drugs, tents, sleeping bags, sanitary utilities among other necessary items. The medical supplies including life-saving drugs, surgical items aimed for handling emergency medical conditions. The flight carrying the relief supplies from the Hindon airbase will land at El-Arish airport in Egypt. India has been one of the first countries to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine. The move comes amid the escalating recent war between Israel and Hamas. According to Reuters, over 4,300 Gazans and at least 1,400 Israelis have been killed.

Israeli aircraft struck a compound beneath Al-Ansar Mosque in Jenin in West Bank early on October 22. The IDF has claimed that the compound was used by “Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks”. The Palestinian medics told Reuters that at least one person was killed in this aerial strike by Israel. A resident of the refugee camp said that most of the people were asleep when the attack happened. Israel said the compound beneath Al-Ansar Mosque, in Jenin refugee camp, belonged to operatives from Hamas. IDF shared pictures of the mosque and the weapons recovered from there. IDF also claimed that the mosque was used for planning since July 2023. It has been fifteen days since the outbreak of the recent Israel-Hamas conflict. According to Reuters, over 4,300 Gazans and at least 1,400 Israelis have been killed.

A flight carrying the first batch of Indians, who were stranded in Israel amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, landed in New Delhi on October 13th. The evacuees expressed their happiness as they returned home safely and thanked Indian Govt for their support. The Ministry of External Affairs has launched 'Operation Ajay' to evacuate stranded Indians from war-hit Israel. As many as 212 Indian nationals safely arrived at the Delhi airport from war-hit Israel. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar arrived at the airport to welcome the Indian evacuees. With folded hands, MoS Chandrasekhar greeted evacuees and interacted with the students. The war between Israel and Hamas has entered Day 07 and over 2,700 people have been killed so far.

Drone footage showed horrific scenes, and scattered belongings at the site of the Nova music festival which was Hamas one of the first targets amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. The trance music festival was attended by thousands of young people which were the militants' first targets. As many as 260 people lost their lives and dozens were taken hostage by the Hamas terrorist group. Death, destruction, and bloodshed in war-hit Israel could be seen at the site of the Nova music festival. Hamas gunmen wreaked havoc in Re’im when Israelis were enjoying the party. Hundreds ran for their lives when Hamas terrorists launched an attack at the concert. Israeli military spokesperson called Hamas an ISIS and said that they won’t live with ISIS next to their borders. The war between Israel and Hamas has entered Day 07 and over 2,700 people have been killed so far.

Amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, the first flight carrying 212 Indians from Israel, landed at Delhi airport on 13th October under ‘Operation Ajay’. The Indian nationals were received by Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. The flight constituted of Indian citizens - students, caregivers, and business professionals, and a similar flight is being planned in the coming days. The Embassy of India in Tel Aviv has been working tirelessly to ensure the safety and welfare of all our Indian citizens in Israel.

Indian students in Ukraine’s Sumy are now struggling with basic supplies. In an exclusive interaction with Mid-day, Vishad Patel, a 22 year old fifth-year medical student at Sumy University, explains about the worsening situation and challenging circumstances of Indian students who are stranded in Sumy. Vishad also revealed how students are risking their lives to find drinking water, melting snow in plastic containers to make water for daily use and how education agents are helping them.
