BJP leader Tejasvi Surya cast his vote at polling booth number 70 in Bengaluru on April 26. The party has fielded him from Bengaluru South constituency for the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to ANI, he took a veiled jibe at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, He said, “The fact that Mallikarjun Kharge wants to meet the Prime Minister to explain his party manifesto indicates that perhaps even the Congress realises that it will be the PM who will implement some good ideas that may be present in the Congress manifesto. Perhaps this is the admission of Congress that they are not coming anywhere near power for the next two decades.”

Across the country, Hindus are celebrating the festival of Ram Navami on April 17. A large number of devotees thronged Ram Temple in Ayodhya to take the blessings of Ram Lalla. Ram Lalla is expected to be gifted with ‘Surya Abhishek’ at noon when the rays of the Sun fall on his forehead. Elaborate arrangements were made in the Ram Temple as it is the first Ram Navami after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony which happened on January 22. Ram Navami is one of the most celebrated festivals by the Hindu community that commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Rama.
