Salman Khan House Firing Case: Two Suspects Arrested

The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 2 suspects involved in the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. The victims who are identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal  were arrested from Bhuj in Gujarat where they had escaped after the incident. Gupta and Pal belong to Champaran in Bihar. They are now being brought to Mumbai for further questioning about their motive and if they were tasked by someone to carry the shooting..For the unversed, on 14th of April, a shooting happened in the early hours of Sunday after motorcycle-borne shooters opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments. Police said the suspects had their faces covered and the incident was a planned one.  A total of four rounds were fired by the accused and a live cartridge was recovered from the spot. Khan was present in his home at the time of the incident, the police said, adding that the bullets were fired into the air. "The shooters have been captured in CCTV footage at the Bandra railway station" said the Police. In the CCTV footage, the shooters were seen firing towards the actor's house. The accused were carrying bags and wore helmets. Sunday's incident is reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously threatened Salman Khan.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on April 13 talked about the sequence of events that led to the arrest of the Bengaluru café blast case suspects from West Bengal. Talking to ANI, the Home Minister praised the NIA and Karnataka Police for arresting the accused. He also raised doubts about their involvement in Shivamogga blast. “NIA has done a wonderful job. Our Karnataka police have done a wonderful job. Both of them hail from Karnataka. They studied together. I was told initially that they are from Thirthahalli, Shivamogga district. We will find out whether they have any links with the other agencies. These two were supposed to have been involved in the earlier Shivamogga blast. They had escaped for almost 3-4 years. And now after this incident, they are caught. NIA will investigate further. And then our police also will find out because they are originally from Karnataka. So let us wait and see what comes out of the investigation...” said G Parameshwara.

Bengaluru cafe blast: 2 suspects who planted bomb in Rameshwaram Cafe arrested

In a big win for NIA, two suspects of the Rameshwaram Café blast were nabbed from Kolkata on April 12. Mussavir Hussain Shazib, Abdul Matheen Taha were allegedly involved in Rameshwaram Café blast. Mussavir Hussain Shazib is accused of planting the IED inside the Rameshwaram Café. On the other hand, Abdul Matheen Taha is said to be the mastermind of the attack. The NIA had declared rewards of Rs 10 lakh on each of the absconders. NIA, Central Agencies and police force of several states worked together to nab the accused. The cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield area was jolted by a low-intensity blast on March 1. The case was handed over to the NIA on March 3, following the NIA team’s visit to the blast site. China ship in Mumbai: Indian agencies suspect nuclear link in Pak-bound ship

A Pakistan-bound ship coming from China was stopped at Mumbai by the Indian security agencies on March 02. The Karachi-bound ship was intercepted at Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva port. The vessel was suspected of carrying a consignment that could be used for Pakistan’s nuclear missile programmes. The ship was thoroughly examined by a team of Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The components in the cargo ship were primarily suspected of being used in Pak’s nuclear initiatives, specifically, in manufacturing some critical components for missile development. However, the DRDO is yet to submit its final report on the vessel stopped at the port.

The Indian Air Force scrambled its Rafale fighter aircraft to search UFO in Imphal airport. The development came after a suspected ‘UFO’ was seen over Imphal airport around 2:30 pm on Nov 19. Earlier, a drone that was very small in appearance was spotted by security personnel at Imphal Airport on Sunday at 3 pm, according to sources. An alert was issued to other agencies at the airport and operations were postponed, sources added. Following the visual input, the Indian Air Force activated its Air Defence response. "IAF activated its Air Defence response mechanism based on visual inputs from Imphal Airport. The small object was not seen thereafter," IAF’s Eastern Air Command tweeted in regards to the UFO in Imphal that was sighted.

Staff of the hotel where Ankita Bhandari worked informed that Ankit Arya, brother of main accused, insisted to serve food to the receptionist a night before she went missing. “I got a call from Ankit Arya at 8pm to prepare dinner for 4 people. Around 10:45 pm, he came and told us that he'll take dinner to Ankita's room, to which I said our service boy will do that, but he didn't agree,” informed Manveer Chauhan, resort worker. “The next day we saw Ankita was missing from her room.
