It's a tablet war but of a different kind. Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi are engaged in a bitter battle over Akaash, the low-cost tablet developed by Mr Sibal's ministry. A few weeks ago, Mr Modi had ridiculed Mr Sibal and had questioned if the low-cost tablet Aakash is all in aakash -up in the air! In a major development in the Bollywood-drug cartel nexus case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has issued summons to actor Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades, to appear before it on November 11. NCB officials carried out searches at his residence in Pali Hill and his office on 9th November and seized some tablets banned under the NDPS Act. Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court rejected TV news anchor Arnab Goswami's habeas corpus plea seeking interim relief in the abetment to suicide case and observed that the victim's rights are as important as that of the accused.
