He revealed alarming connections between the assailant, Narain Singh Chaura, and Congress. Majithia claimed that Chaura, a man with over 30 criminal cases against him, had been in the area for three days. Despite police claims of security, he was seen repeatedly approaching Badal. Majithia shared videos showing Chaura conducting surveillance in recent days. He further revealed that Chaura is the son of Channan Singh Chaura, whose other son, Narender Singh Bajwa, is closely associated with criminal Sukhi Randhawa. Majithia alleged that this family has ties to Congress, especially when the party is in power.
