'Terrorism a threat to humanity', PM Modi at MoU exchange event between

President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan who is on a State visit to India on October 09 met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan held a bilateral meeting and attended the MoU exchange program at Hyderabad House in Delhi. MoUs exchanged between countries for Digital solutions, Shipping, Sports, etc. PM Modi addressed the delegations and discussed global and regional issues, Both leaders emphasised the topic of ‘Terrorism’ while PM Modi said ‘Terrorism is a threat to humanity’. President Hassan was earlier today accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is currently on a four-day official visit to Tanzania from 5 to 8 July 2023. During his interaction with the Indian Community in Tanzania, he stressed on the importance of Mission IT (India and Tanzania) saying that he was in the country on an "IT mission, as in India-Tanzania mission. Earlier, in Tanzania, the EAM visited Stone Town in Zanzibar and experienced its distinctive Gujarat connection. He also visited the Kiduthani project that will provide drinking water to 30,000 households in Zanzibar.
