Two days after the debacle, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting Indian players in the dressing room right after the match and consoling the crestfallen players. The video has come amid widespread disappointment among Indian fans after the World Cup Final loss at the hands of Australia. Team India faced a heart-breaking loss to Australia in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final on November 19. Despite the disappointment, the top wicket-taker in the tournament, Mohammed Shami expressed his gratitude to fans for their support.
