India issues an emergency advisory directing shipping companies, ship managers and recruitment agencies to stop deploying Indian seafarers on voyages through the Strait of Hormuz until further notice. The decision follows a series of deadly attacks on merchant vessels in the Gulf that claim the lives of two Indian seafarers. The Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) also instructs vessel masters to maintain heightened security, monitor navigational warnings and implement strict security measures while operating in the Persian Gulf and adjoining waters.

The conflict between the United States and Iran has intensified once again after President Donald Trump ordered a fresh wave of military strikes targeting Iran's coastal defence infrastructure, while Tehran claimed it had struck and disabled two "rogue" supertankers in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the CENTCOM, American forces carried out a five-hour operation using precision-guided munitions against multiple military targets across Iran. The strikes reportedly focused on coastal defence systems, missile launch sites, drone infrastructure and maritime capabilities in an effort to weaken Iran's operational reach in the Gulf. Explosions were reported across several strategic locations, including Bandar Abbas, Kish Island, Qeshm and Abu Musa, as the latest military campaign marked a significant escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran. Meanwhile, Iran's IRGC claimed it had struck and disabled two "rogue" supertankers after alleging that the vessels ignored repeated warnings, switched off their navigation systems and attempted to transit through what Tehran described as a mined route in the Strait of Hormuz.
