The series of deadly earthquakes that hit both the countries on February 06 have left them crippled and struggling as they are desperately trying to rescue the remaining victims. Trying its best to offer support amid the rough times, India is offering aid in every way possible. In the midst of this all, a Turkish national expressed his heart-felt gratitude towards India and the Indian Army. India has sent 7 aircraft so far with relief material and specialized rescue teams to Turkey under ‘Operation Dost’. The Indian Army has also set up a field hospital in Hatay to save maximum lives. Expressing his support for the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted “India stands firmly with the people of Türkiye.”

India’s NDRF, Turkish Army rescued an 8-year-old girl in Nurdagi, Gaziantep. The girl was stuck alive under the rubble of a building flattened by the massive earthquake. As per the latest report, over 24,000 people have been killed in the devastating natural disaster. A massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes on the Richter Scale, ripped Türkiye and Syria on Feb 6. It was followed by a series of aftershocks that caused huge devastation, loss of lives in both countries. India is sending relief materials and rescue teams to assist Türkiye in rescue operations. People donated blankets at Turkish Embassy in Delhi for quake-hit people.
11 February,2023 02:59 PM ISTIndia is sending across an Army medical team, National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) personnel, and medical supplies to support Turkey where a series of massive earthquakes struck Monday killing over 4,300 people and injuring thousands. As per the Army, the Agra-based 60 Para Field Hospital has dispatched a 99-member medical team. The teams are equipped with X-ray machines, ventilators, an oxygen generation plant, cardiac monitors and associated equipment to establish a 30-bedded medical facility. According to defence sources, two C-17 Globemaster aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) are likely to carry the Army medical team from Agra.
