One of the largest operations carried out by security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker in which 29 Naxalites were gunned down and huge quantities of arms and ammunition were also recovered. On the Kanker encounter, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Yesterday, security forces achieved great success in Chhattisgarh. Ever since Modi ji became the Prime Minister, the BJP government has launched a continuous campaign against Naxalism and terrorism.” IG Bastar P Sundarraj said, "Yesterday, an encounter broke out between security forces and Naxalites which lasted for around 4 hours. Teams of DRG and BSF cordoned off the area and as a result, 29 bodies of CPI Maoists were recovered, out of which 15 were female and 14 were male. Arms and ammunition were recovered in large quantities from the spot. The autopsy of bodies of the Maoists are underway."

In a massive success, security force officials foiled a major conspiracy to disrupt peace in Chhatisgarh’s Kanker, days ahead of LS Polls. In a high-voltage encounter with Naxals, security forces killed at least 29 Maoists in the region. As per police, 3 jawans were also injured during the exchange of fire and were shifted to a higher centre for better treatment. The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 2 suspects involved in the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. The victims who are identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were arrested from Bhuj in Gujarat where they had escaped after the incident. Gupta and Pal belong to Champaran in Bihar. They are now being brought to Mumbai for further questioning about their motive and if they were tasked by someone to carry the shooting..For the unversed, on 14th of April, a shooting happened in the early hours of Sunday after motorcycle-borne shooters opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments. Police said the suspects had their faces covered and the incident was a planned one. A total of four rounds were fired by the accused and a live cartridge was recovered from the spot. Khan was present in his home at the time of the incident, the police said, adding that the bullets were fired into the air. "The shooters have been captured in CCTV footage at the Bandra railway station" said the Police. In the CCTV footage, the shooters were seen firing towards the actor's house. The accused were carrying bags and wore helmets. Sunday's incident is reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously threatened Salman Khan.

After two children were hacked to death in Budaun's Baba Colony on March 19, the parents of the deceased opened up about the incident and demanded justice. “We want justice. We want him to be interrogated in our presence. And then we want him to be killed in front of us. We won’t be at peace until we see him die in front of our eyes. I want him to die just like how he killed our children,” said Sangeeta, the mother of the deceased.Meanwhile, the father of the deceased children said, “Javed had borrowed money earlier too, 2-3 months back. This time too, he asked for money, took our kids to the roof, and killed them. He didn’t spare the younger child too. When our other child complained to us, he ran away. His shop used to be filled with gamblers. We want to know who is behind these murders… We want an interrogation, then an encounter.”

The lone surviving brother from the tragic Budaun double murder incident, which occurred on March 20 in Baba Colony, shared his horrific experience. He said, "The individual from the salon arrived here. He escorted my brothers upstairs, but I'm unsure why he harmed them. He also attempted to assault me, but I managed to fend off his knife, pushed him away, and fled downstairs. Consequently, I sustained injuries to my hand and head... Two individuals (the accused) had visited here."Meanwhile in a new update on the Budaun double murder case, Bareilly IG Rakesh Kumar said that the accused fired at the police and was killed in retaliatory fire. He further said, “Today evening an unfortunate incident took place. The police reached the spot and the accused tried to escape. The accused fired at the police and was killed in retaliatory fire. The accused died on the spot. The accused is aged between 25-30.”

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher on February 22 announced that the Delhi Chalo' protest march will be put on hold for 2 days as a 21 year old youth namely Shubhkaran died on February 21 during the protest at khanauri border crossing in Punjab's Sangrur district during clashes with Haryana Police. Some farmers alleged that he was killed in the tear gas shelling by the police. Sarwan Singh said that the protest will continue at the same place wherever it is continuing. On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann came out in support of Shubhakaran’s family after the 21-year-old lost his life in the ongoing farmers' protest.
