The Disha Salian death case has taken a major turn after the Central Bureau of Investigation registered an FIR following the Bombay High Court’s direction for a fresh probe. The development comes after the Bombay High Court questioned the Mumbai Police investigation, which had treated Salian’s death as an accidental death for six years. The court pointed to what it described as discrepancies and said the investigation raised questions that remained unanswered.

Mumbai witnessed a massive show of unity and celebration as Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray came together for a grand Tiranga Vijay Morcha, following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the NEET controversy. The victory rally began with preparations stretching from Shivaji Park to the Siddhivinayak Temple, with thousands of supporters joining the march carrying the Indian tricolour. The event, initially planned as a solidarity march over alleged NEET irregularities and police action against students, transformed into a victory procession after Pradhan's resignation. Addressing the gathering, Raj Thackeray described the student movement as a watershed moment, saying Gen Z had demonstrated its power to hold governments accountable through democratic protest. He praised young people across the country for leading a peaceful movement that ultimately forced political action. WATCH
