International Monetary Fund Asia & Pacific Director Krishna Srinivasan on April 20 praised India’s growth trajectory under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime. Speaking to ANI, he said, “India has successfully navigated multiple shocks we’ve seen in the recent past, starting from the pandemic to the war in Ukraine and then the recent tensions in the Gulf. Growth at 6.8 per cent in 2024-25 is a very impressive number. And this is largely led by private consumption and public investment. I don’t see any red flags in the near term, but I would highlight one important aspect. Now, India has a young, growing population. India is likely to add about 15 million people to the labor force every year. Now, if you want to benefit from this demographic change, you will need lots of reforms. I think in particular, I would emphasize the need for significant investment in education and healthcare so that this growing labor force can contribute productively to the economy.”

Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi on March 27. He underwent emergency brain surgery after suffering life-threatening bleeding in the skull on March 17. He experienced severe headaches for a few weeks before undergoing the surgery, according to Isha Foundation. In a video clip, the spiritual Guru was seen coming out of the hospital as his followers greeted him. Sadhguru has suffered multiple bleedings in the brain before being hospitalised. Sadhguru, who is 66 years old and the founder of the Isha Foundation, has launched campaigns like ‘Save Soil’ and ‘Rally for Rivers’ for environmental conservation. Watch video.

PM Modi inaugurated India's first underwater metro in Kolkata on March 06. He received a warm welcome from the crowd as hundreds of people gathered to have a glimpse of him. The crowd chanted ‘Modi-Modi’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on PM’s arrival and he was seen waving at them. Prime Minister Modi also interacted with school students as they travelled in India's first underwater metro. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25 dived into the Arabian Sea off the coast of Gujarat to perform an underwater puja in the remains of the ancient submerged city of Lord Krishna’s Dwarka. In the photos shared by the PM on his ‘X’ handle, he can be seen in scuba gear and descending into the azure waters to offer prayers at the site steeped in historical and spiritual significance.
