A Trial run of city's first underground Metro line 3 was done on sunday. The Metro line 3, will be a 33.5 km underground route which will connect south Mumbai with the western suburbs and is expected to reduce the burden on the suburban locals.Length of the corridor is marked with 27 key stations out of which 26 will be underground.The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited intends to complete the work and begin operations between Aarey and Bandra Kurla Complex for the phase I corridor by June 2023. The remaining will be completed after that.

After the discovery of a tunnel in Samba district of Jammu, the Border Security Force (BSF) is worried about the existence of many more such tunnels at the borders. A blast on a underground train left some passengers with facial burns at the Parsons Green underground station in west London. The station is closed now and counter-terror and security authorities are monitoring the situation. Officers and ambulance staff on the spot were seen evacuating the passengers. Police said they were aware of reports and would release facts regarding the incident once they could be sure of their accuracy. Transport for London, on Twitter, posted that there was no service between Earls Court and Wimbledon on the District Line which runs through Parsons Green

Mumbai's first Underground Railway Line 3 witnessed a twin tunnel breakthrough, of the third and fourth TBM of Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 corridor at Dadar Metro Station. 18 km of tunneling and 35% work has been complete till now. The 33.5-km long Metro-3 corridor is finally ready! It's only a matter of time before the metro work is complete and open to the public.

The Mumbai Metro Line 3 has successfully finished tunneling under the Mithi river. The portion under the river is between Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and Dharavi station.
