US President Donald Trump has announced a sweeping new oil agreement with Venezuela, calling it the “biggest oil deal in world history.” The agreement could open access to vast Venezuelan oil reserves and potentially attract around $100 billion in investment into the country's battered energy sector. Venezuela's government says the deal covers 17 oil fields with a proven potential of 65 billion barrels, while the country has an estimated 303 billion barrels of total crude reserves.  

India has signed a major agreement with the United States for Javelin anti-tank missile systems, giving the Indian Army an additional boost in precision anti-armour capability. The initial package includes 100 Javelin missile rounds, launch units and training equipment and is valued at around $45.7 million. The Javelin is a medium-range, guided, fire-and-forget anti-tank system designed to engage armoured targets. The system is jointly produced by Lockheed Martin and RTX and is already used by the US military and several international customers.
