More than five students were killed and 15 others were injured after a private school bus overturned in Kanina town of Haryana’s Mahendragarh district on April 11. The driver is believed to have been drunk, say the police. Police sources said that the bus's driver jumped out of the speeding vehicle after losing control of it and it rammed a tree. The injured were immediately admitted to private hospitals. The kids were on their way to GL Public School, a private school located in Kanina of Mahendragarh when the tragic incident took place. President Droupadi Murmu extended her condolences for the tragic loss of schoolchildren in Haryana bus accident.

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam was expelled from the party on April 04. Anupamaa actor, Rituraj Singh passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 59 due to cardiac arrest. His last rites took place in Mumbai on February 21. Several friends, colleagues and well-wishers from the TV and film industry were spotted at his residence as they came pay their last tribute. Nakuul Mehta, Hiten Tejwani with wife Gauri Pradhan, Arshad Warsi and many other celebrities were spotted. Rituraj Singh is known for shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kutumb, Abhay 3 and Never Kiss Your Best Friend. He was also seen in Rupali Ganguly’s superhit show, Anupamaa.
