He said that he would prove the poisoning of his brother when the time comes. "Mukhtar Ansari has been killed and removed out of the way. When the time comes, we will give strong proof that he was killed with poison... To save some criminals, the whole government and its machinery have done a huge conspiracy. They have no shame... On March 26, Mukhtar Ansari was sent to the Medical College from the Banda jail... The Superintendent said that he was sent because the doctors suggested that... We received a message at 3 am that Mukhtar Ansari's condition is serious... When we reached the hospital, we were allowed to meet with difficulty, only for 5 minutes... During the 5-minute meeting, Mukhtar Ansari said that he had been poisoned and because of that he had fainted. He said that he was in extreme pain. He said that he had fainted and shifted to the hospital in that condition," said Afzal Ansari.

While speaking to ANI, he said that Court must take strict action in the matter as Mukhtar Ansari was under the remand of the Court. “According to our Hindu mythology, it is not right to comment on the deceased. The way things came out the judicial system gave us justice. I am grateful to the judicial system for its verdict of my Brother’s murderer… Things that are coming ahead the government must investigate in the matter. If he is under the Court’s remand, then the court must take strict action in the matter,” said Ajai Rai.

A large crowd gathered to bid farewell to him. Mukhtar Ansari is slated to be buried in Mohammadabad, located in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur district. Police presence has been increased around the burial site to ensure law and order as mourners pay their final respects. Ansari passed away due to a cardiac arrest on March 28, although his family alleges foul play, suspecting poisoning in his food.

Mukhtar Ansari took his last breath at Banda Medical College Hospital in Uttar Pradesh. Following his death, people in large numbers gathered outside the politician’s residence in Ghazipur. The police also conducted a flag march and issued alerts across the state to prevent any untoward incidents following Ansari's death. Security arrangements have been beefed up in several parts of UP after the demise. However, Umar Ansari, the son of Mukhtar Ansari, alleged conspiracy in father’s death.

We want him to be interrogated in our presence. And then we want him to be killed in front of us. We won’t be at peace until we see him die in front of our eyes. I want him to die just like how he killed our children,” said Sangeeta, the mother of the deceased.Meanwhile, the father of the deceased children said, “Javed had borrowed money earlier too, 2-3 months back. This time too, he asked for money, took our kids to the roof, and killed them. He didn’t spare the younger child too. When our other child complained to us, he ran away. His shop used to be filled with gamblers. We want to know who is behind these murders… We want an interrogation, then an encounter.”
