A tragic helicopter crash near Gaurikund, Uttarakhand, on Sunday morning claimed seven lives, including a pilot and a two-year-old child. The rescue operation in Chamoli is in full swing, with the Indian Army and IAF joining the search efforts. IAF Mi-17 and Cheetah helicopters have been deployed to help with the rescue in the Mana area. The search is ongoing for the workers who went missing after an avalanche struck near Mana village. So far, two more bodies have been recovered, bringing the death toll to six. Rescue teams are still working hard to find the remaining missing people. According to the Defence PRO in Dehradun, the bodies recovered today are being brought to Mana post for further processing. The operation involves multiple forces working together to search the area.
