Jan Vishwas Rally: Lalu Yadav throws controversial statements on PM Modi

Bihar's former CM Lalu Yadav, at the Rashtriya Janta Dal's "Jan Vishwas Rally", targeted both PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. Lalu Yadav’s remarks during the Jan Vishwas Rally sparked controversy on March 03. While addressing the rally Lalu Yadav went on to question PM Modi’s religion.He said, “Who is Narendra Modi? He accuses us of doing dynastic politics. What can we do if Modi does not have a family of his own? Why is he childless? He is not even a true Hindu". He further accused PM Modi of promoting hate politics. Despite his ill health, Yadav appeared to be in full form and gave a fiery speech.

Nuh Violence: US State Department urges parties to refrain from violent actions

In response to the ongoing clashes in Gurugram and surrounding areas, the United States Department of State said that the US calls for calm and urges parties to refrain from violence. Addressing the State Department briefing on Wednesday (local time), the official spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “I would say of – with respect to the clashes that obviously we would, as always, urge calm and urge parties to refrain from violent actions.” “With respect to whether we’ve heard from any Americans, I’m not aware of that. I’m happy to follow up with the – with the embassy,” he said when asked about any American citizen impacted by the clashes in Gurugram. Clashes between two groups broke out in Nuh on Monday afternoon after a religious procession passing through the district came under attack, leaving two home guards dead and dozens of people — including around 20 policemen — injured in the frenzy of violence that followed.

Four boys washed away at Juhu Koliwada; two bodies found, search operations on

Four minor boys aged between 12 and 16 were feared drowned after five children who were sitting on the edge of the jetty at Juhu Koliwada, near Juhu beach, were washed away in a high tide on Monday evening. According to civic body officials, the minors hailed from Vakola and were on a visit to the beach. Officials also said that one boy was rescued by local fishermen and other residents. The rescued boy is said in a stable condition and was taken to the police station for further investigations. Authorities in Mumbai on Tuesday said that the rescuers have found the bodies of two of the four boys. Coastguard chopper was seen while the rescue operation for remaining two boys is still ongoing.
