Kerala is witnessing severe monsoon devastation as heavy rainfall triggers deadly landslides, widespread flooding and large-scale evacuations across the state. At least five people have lost their lives in separate landslides, while several others are feared trapped or missing. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for nine districts, warning of extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds.
