Karnataka Assembly: Pakistan Zindabad slogans heard at Vishan Soudha

BJP claimed that Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised by Congress supporters after Congress Rajya Sabha poll victory. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has strongly condemned the alleged Pro-Pakistan slogans raised by the supporters of Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain in Vidhan Soudha after he was elected as the Rajya Sabha member. The Karnataka BJP unit has filed an FIR at the Vidhan Soudha Police Station in this regard. Pralhad Joshi took a sharp jibe at the Congress Party after the serious allegations. On the other hand, Naseer Hussain said that he did not hear any “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan in the Assembly.

Kalkaji Mandir Tragedy: Woman loses life, 17 injured as stage collapses in Delhi

A woman died and 17 others were injured after the stage collapsed during Jagran ceremony at Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi on Jan 27. According to Delhi Police, no permission was granted to hold the event, however, sufficient staff was deployed to maintain law and order. As per the temple’s priest, renowned singers like B Praak, Kanhaiya Mittal were present. There was a huge crowd in a tightly-packed venue. The kalkaji mandir tragedy happened when scores of devotees climbed the main stage to catch a glimpse of Punjabi musician B Praak. All the injured were shifted to the city’s AIIMS Trauma Centre, Safdarjung Hospital and MAX Hospital.

Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF) organised a special broadcast of the 108th episode of PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’. It was organised at Mahila Park near the iconic Jamia Masjid in Old Delhi on December 31. The broadcast drew Muslim participants from diverse age groups, especially women. On of the participants heaped praises on PM Modi. Actor Akshay Kumar made a special appearance in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat and shared his advice for the people. This was 2023’s last episode of  Mann Ki Baat. The show made history as it aired its 100th episode on April 30 2023 and ended up tuning in millions of people.

Israel-Hamas Conflict: Hamas releases video of abducted Israeli woman

Hamas has released a video of one of the Israelis who have been held hostage by the terror group. The video is of a 21-year-old woman named Mia Shem who was abducted from Supernova Music Fest. The video shows Shem lying down as someone wraps a bandage around her right arm. Surprisingly, in the video, Shem said, “they took care of me, treated me, provided medicine…”.Shem was abducted from the Supernova music festival which was one of the first targets of Hamas terrorists. A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that the military had notified the Shem family of Miya's abduction. As many as 260 people lost their lives in the music festival and dozens were taken hostage by Hamas. The attendees of the music fest ran for their lives when Hamas terrorists went on a rampage.

TMC leaders including Mahua Moitra were detained after sitting on dharna at Krishi Bhawan. The Trinamool Congress had scheduled a meeting with the minister at the Krishi Bhavan, regarding the party's demand to release funds to West Bengal under the MGNREGA. Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Tuesday claimed that she waited for Trinamool Congress MPs in her office for over two hours. However, Trinamool Congress leaders claimed that Union minister had given them an appointment but did not meet them. The TMC delegation then sat on dharna, saying they won’t leave without meeting the minister. After some time, the delegation was forcibly removed from the site and detained.
