Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on April 16 gave a stern warning to the Bishnoi gang and the accused over the firing incident at Salman Khan’s house and said that he will uproot all gangs and goons from Mahrashtra. On the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence on April 14, CM Eknath Shinde said, "I met with Salman Khan and assured him the government is with him. I also directed the police team to take immediate action on this and in that path two of the accused have been arrested... This is Maharashtra, no gang is left here... We will uproot all the gangs and goons...Here hooliganism will not be allowed to continue... The accused arrested are being interrogated... Strict actions will be taken. I have also directed the Police Commissioner to provide security for Salman Khan and his family... It is our duty to take care of our people... I don't want to comment on what happened in the past government, but we will uproot all the gangs and goons who will try to harm any person of the state..."

After the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility behind the firing at superstar Salman Khan's Mumbai residence, Rakhi Sawant, who shares a close rapport with the actor, came out in his support and pleaded for his life to be spared. In regards to the Salman Khan house firing case, two men who were captured on CCTV firing gunshots outside the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in Mumbai on Sunday are suspected to be from Haryana's Gurugram and belong to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. One of the individuals, identified as Vishal, is reportedly associated with the notorious Bishnoi gang member Rohit Godara, known for his involvement in a string of violent crimes. CCTV footage revealed that both individuals sported caps and carried backpacks. Additionally, the clip showed them firing towards the actor's residence. One of the suspects donned a white t-shirt paired with a black jacket and denim pants, while the other was attired in a red t-shirt with denim pants. Khan had in the past received at least two threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang. The gang has been targeting the actor because of his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck killing case in Rajasthan.

Indian Navy’s warship INS Kolkata brought 35 captured Somali pirates to India on March 23. All 35 Somalian pirates were handed over to Mumbai Police after due formalities of Customs and Immigration. After being handed to Mumbai Police, the pirates were taken to JJ Hospital for medical examination. The pirates were captured by the Indian Navy in an Anti-Piracy operation on March 16 from the Arabian Sea. As part of the Indian Navy’s anti-maritime security operations, INS Kolkata intercepted the hijacked vessel, ex-MV Ruen. The navy intercepted ex-MV Ruen, which was reported to have sailed out as a pirate ship on high seas. After over 40 hours of operation, Indian Navy coerced all 35 Pirates to surrender and ensured safe evacuation of 17 crew members. The Navy shared a video of its encounter with Somali pirates who were using a hijacked merchant vessel. The pirates onboard the vessel were called upon to surrender and release the vessel.

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged excise policy scam, on March 23, issued a video statement on Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest and reads out the CM's message from jail. "There are several forces within and outside India that are weakening the country. We have to be alert, identify these forces and defeat them...Women in Delhi must be thinking that Kejriwal is behind bars. Who knows if they would get Rs 1000. I appeal to them to trust their brother, their son. There is no jail that can keep him behind bars for long. I will come out soon and keep my promise," said Sunita Kejriwal.
